Public space is more than just a physical environment—it is a stage for performance, a megaphone for ideas, a canvas for expression, and a meeting place that shifts perspectives. But how well are its creative potentials truly utilized? How can we activate it as a space for artistic expression, collective learning, and social interaction? How can we, in an innovative and visionary way, aligned with the needs of the community, create opportunities for audience development? We explore the potential of public spaces and the arts to open them up to diverse social groups. How can art in public space drive evolution—not just architecturally, but socially as well?

If you are an artist, researcher, lecturer, representative of an organization that engages with public space, or an individual with experience in the creative activation of public spaces—join us for a one-day interactive workshop on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Klara and Rosa (Petefi Šandora 15, Subotica).

This invitation is open to individuals and groups who want to:

- Expand their knowledge and exchange experiences in the creative use of public space and audience development.
- Create new opportunities for themselves and artists from Serbia—your insights will help shape the call and program for four artists who, in 2026, will take part in a nine-month program and, through a paid artistic residency, realize projects in Portugal (two artists) and Greece (two artists). This is an opportunity to learn more about the project and how you can get involved.
- Become part of a professional network dedicated to exploring innovative approaches to public space use in Serbia.

- Open doors to new collaborations—we aim to involve both the public and private sectors, as well as actors beyond the cultural and artistic fields, to collectively develop art and culture as key drivers of social connection and urban development, especially outside major capitals.
