Courtyard Gallery: Ana Maria Sabo – The Body of My Mind

On Saturday, November 4th, at 12 o'clock in the Courtyard Gallery (Korzo 1), we are opening an exhibition by Ana Maria Sabo titled "The Body of My Mind."

.

The title speaks to the dismantling of the prejudice that one's body is one's body and one's mind is one's mind, or that the dimensions of our experiential existence can be clearly separated from one another. In contrast, our inner reality is often entirely different. Our personal relationship with time doesn't adhere to the rhythm dictated by time-keeping devices, nor can the experience of our own body be measured by the laws of physics. All of this forms the core idea that external and internal matters are inseparable; the boundary between them can only be artificially drawn. In this sense, it may not be surprising that in the era of the climate crisis, our personal and collective neuroses are reflected in our relationship with the environment.

.
The body of my mind is the inner body, the body within the body. Its dwelling is a landscape within a landscape. To find it, you must zoom in at the microscopic level. There, in incredible, surreal landscapes, our senses both give and receive information. The sense of air and space remains the same in all scales. I am different.
