COURTYARD GALLERY: EDITA KADIRIC – THE SWEETHEARTS

On Saturday, June 29, 2024, starting at 8:00 PM, an exhibition by Edita Kadirić titled "The Sweethearts" will be opened at the Courtyard Gallery (Korzo 1).

A small study that explores the power of inner child through drawing and the interaction between beauty and maladaptation to the outside world. That is how I create a small imaginary of myself and for myself, where THEY are rejected and unclear and yet recognizable and reassuring. In that inner crater, they become nothing else than cuddly creatures of memory, ˮThe Sweetheartsˮ...

Edita Kadirić was born in 1976 in Banja Luka. She is a visual artist whose work is based on the research of recognition and discomfort through visual "storytelling". Through the basic medium of drawing, she explores human psychology using different interpretations, including theatricality as a special effect of attention. She obtained a higher education in the field of visual arts (Academy of Arts Novi Sad, FLU Belgrade, and Faculty of Fine Arts Barcelona). She has been awarded many times. She exhibited at many independent and collective exhibitions in the country and abroad.
She lives and works between France - Spain - Serbia.
